Being in the media industry (I edit legal news online), I often come across news where people are arrested or charged for stealing from vehicles. I ended my day’s work on June 16 with just that kind of news in which Fitchburg police announced the arrest of three suspects in a series of crimes including vehicle thefts, burglaries and financial offenses.
I immediately thought about sharing some tips and a video that will show you how to stop people from stealing your car or even items from it. After all we work so hard for our families and not for thieves.
Coming back to the news that inspired me to share the video, the three suspects arrested on June 10, 2021 were all teenagers.
Lt. Edward Hartwick said three adolescents suspected of being involved in a recent crime spree were seen entering the home on Madison’s west side.
After leaving the house, two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy were arrested, and a car reported stolen earlier in the day from Madison was located nearby, according to Hartwick.
The 15-year-olds were wanted for a robbery in Fitchburg on June 6 in which a 14-year-old girl was shot in the head with a revolver.
They were arrested and brought to the Dane County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of armed robbery. According to Hartwick, one of them was on electronic monitoring from past juvenile trials.
The 17-year-old, identified as Marquan Webb, has been charged with robbery, criminal theft, and misuse of personal identifying information, according to Hartwick.
With so many people sadly becoming jobless after Covid-19, I think there is nothing better left for people than steal from others. Due to this, I believe that such crimes are on the rise more than ever before.
How to 100% theft-proof your vehicle
As I told you above, after much research, I have got a video for you in which you will learn how to stop such crimes from happening with, and adversely affecting you. The video called “How to 100% Theft-Proof Your Car!” shows you several ways that will help you prevent thieves from stealing from your vehicle or things from it. After all nobody wants criminals to have fun on their hard earned money. And prevention is always better than cure (which in such cases you may think is reporting the crime to police).
